Meeting a Heaven Town in Italy

At the mention of the famous white scenic spots in the world, people maybe firstly bring the Crete of Greece. As a matter of fact, there is a place called 'heaven town 'in Italy. The name of the place is trulli where there remain over one thousand taper-like stone houses which are so beautiful in white color. This kind of houses with so unique appearance and structure are appraised as 'white romantic thing that can not be missed during travel" by the romantic Italians.

One of my Italian friends tells me that Trulli means 'taper-like houses 'in local place. This kind of stone house with white walls and black roofs has remained several hundred years. The small town where trulli is seated is named Alberobello that is some hard to pronounce. I prefer its another name--the beautiful tree. The country shape of Italy is like a boot of whose heel the beautiful tree is on. This small town belongs to Pulja district with a population of about ten thousand. Driving about one hour towards the east from the town is the continuous sand of the Adriatic Sea. When in the town, people can not feel the salty and wet wind from the sea, but can taste the dryness and torridity fully that are brought by the Mediterranean Sea. Hills and meadows where a lot of colorful flowers are lying around are just the Italian rurality which is shown in the film <<Under the Tuscan Sun>>.

"The beautiful tree" is sitting on two hills. Over one thousand stone houses are built one next to one. When you go into one house, you would find that the interior structure looks very simple: quadrate lime stones are heaped into round houses and then change to use sheet flagstones to envelope the top smaller and smaller when reaching a specific altitude. Thus the taper-shape spire is formed. Neither there is a pole or a girder in the house nor bond like cement between the flagstones. A whole Trulli is built by the method of heaping. This trulli in front of us is about twenty square meters the center of which is a big bed, some simple furniture around. That is very refreshing and relaxed. My Italian friend tells me that this kind of buildings has been experienced test for about several hundred years and so there is no need to worry about the falling down of the flagstones. My friend also asks me not to pull the stones of the trulli as one of them is the mechanism of the whole house which can fall down entirely as long as the mechanism stone is pulled. Up to now, one knows which stone is the mechanism stone. For more information about traveling; please have a look at http://www.affordablecruisestours.com.
